My HTPC - MediaPortal driven
I'm working on my HTPC since about two years now. At the moment the system is powered by MediaPortal. It took some time to build a stable and beautiful system which fits the WAF (Wife acceptance factor) but I nearly brought it to the perfect HTPC system.
I write about my experiences working on my HTPC system. For now I wrote some tutorials about MediaPortal, the DH-102 case and Operating System tunings. I plan to write more detailed posts about the hardware and software I use and why I've choosen it.

Filter Vuvuzelas in MediaPortal
Watching the first games of the Soccer World Cup in South Africa I could ignore the annoying permanent sound of the vuvuzelas. But after some matches I was fed up with these sounds and searched for a better solution than turning the sound totally off.

BlackGlass: My new MediaPortal Skin
Blackglass is the name of the current MediaPortal Skin I use since several months now.
It was important to me to have a well designed and clear look and feel. Since i still use a two screen setup another important argument to choose Blackglass as Mediaportal skin was that it can widely be used with a Touchscreen. The basic home screen (main menu) is the best I can expect for touchscreens.
